This is a scene from Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike. If you played the game or have seen the movie, you know about "aer"...the atmosphere turns red when there's too much aer, and it also corrupts the earth and in a way nature itself...

Including animals like poor Lambert and the other guard dogs. Here's the scene in animated gif form: [link]

This is one of the roughest scenes in the movie, and my good friend

wanted to see my take on the monster, which is why there's emphasis on Lambert instead of Yuri.

I never figured out how to fix the perspective from my initial sketch, but I did dive head-on into airbrushing--this was my first big attempt with it! It was fun...maybe a little too colorful, but fun all the same.

I think I can honestly say that this is the best thing I've ever done so far for Deviant Art.
